Oshiomhole Exposes Foreign Prisoner Labor in Nigeria

Nigerian Senator Adams Oshiomhole claims foreign prisoners are working on construction sites.

During a budget defense session yesterday, Oshiomhole, who is the chairman of the Senate Committee on Interior, revealed this to the National Assembly Joint Committees on Interior.

Prisoners working on construction sites in Nigeria are paid the minimum wage of their countries.

Therefore, Oshiomhole urged the minister to regulate foreigner quotas.

I have it on good authority that prisoners from foreign lands are working in Nigeria as construction workers, according to Oshiomhole.

Several non-Nigerians live in the country, some of them in containers. They were paid according to their country’s minimum wage by the construction industry.

“I don’t want to name the companies, but if provoked, I will.”
