More than 200 Houses Destroyed, Five Killed and more than a dozen injured in Uganda Community Clashes

More than a dozen killed, houses and properties destroyed in Uganda following a land dispute between the Acholi and the Madi  people of the country.

The violence which took place at Apaa Village, Labala Parish Pabbo Sub County in Amuru district following land dispute between the Acholi and Madi was suspected to had been triggered by the country’s deputy Prime Minister.

We learnt that the Prime Minister was in the county with his covey which later left some of his arm men behind three days before this violence broke out.

The affected communities accused the deputy Prime Minister for allocating the said land to a South African Company.

Meanwhile the Primes Minister Ruhakana Rugunda who has ask accused  his deputy said that the perpetrators will be brought to book.

Five people were killed and over 200 houses burnt down after fresh violence broke out between the Acholi and Madi.

More people are still missing.  It is still unclear whether they are dead or hiding in the bushes.
